The Diving Bird jigs have a unique action among the rest of the Nature Boys jigs, the flared bottom end gives it a lot more kick on the retrieve and when speed jigging. It stays less horizontal with slack so it dives faster than other jigs giving it a great faster action.

I've found it works very well for yellowtail in shallower water <200 feet, the longer profile makes it more enticing to the more aggressive pelagics so you get less bycatch of bottom fish species. The best performance I've seen is speed jigging it for 6-8 pumps followed by a steady retrieve to make it look like an erratic or stunned bait. I would rig these with a larger single top hook for the best performance.
